Turmeric Cashew Milk Eggnog
Tumeric Cashew milk eggnog
INGREDIENTs - serves 6ppl
8 eggs - separate, yolk and whites
¾ cup of sugar
Pinch of salt
4 cups of Milked Cashews
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of turmeric
1 teaspoon of nutmeg - fresh
Pinch of cinnamon
1 cup of bourbon or optional spirit
In a mixing bowl , beat egg yolks on high speed until creamy and think. Slowly add sugar and continue beating until they are very light. - 3-5 min. Add salt and beat to combine. Set aside.
In a glass mixing bowl beat the egg whites to stiff peaks and set aside.
Combine Cashew Milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and turmeric in a saucepan. Heat up slowly - medium heat for about 5 min. DO not BOIL. When small bubbles are formed on the top, whisk the hot milk into the yolk mixture. Add the beaten whites and/or spirit and mix until everything is incorporated.
Fill the eggnog mix into a pitcher for serving.
